HE WAS A RETIRED SHEET METAL WORKER WITH UNION CARBIDE FOR 31 YEARS, A MEMBER OF ST. ANTHONY CHURCH, CHARLESTON, AND WAS A WWII AND KOREAN WAR ARMY VETERAN. HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS: WIFE: BARBARA THEWES; 2 DAUGHTERS: CANDY PAYNE OF ST. ALBANS, WV; PATRICIA BURDETTE OF SISSONVILLE, WV; 1 SON: JACK D. THEWES OF ALUM CREEK, WV; 3 SISTERS: MARY RAVER OF CHARLESTON, WV; ELSA DECK OF CHARLESTON, WV; SISSY GRIFFITH OF CHARLESTON, WV; 1 BROTHER: RICHARD THEWES OF SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV; 5 GRANDDAUGHTERS,
