Thelma Pearl Pauley, 91, of Charleston died January 22, 2000 at Sunrise Care and Rehabilitation Center, Dunbar after a long illness.

She was a homemaker and a member of Ruth Community Church.

Cantley of Westerville, OH; Margaret R. Marker of Charleston, W V; 2 Sisters: Maxine Richards of Cleveland, OH; Mary Meadows of Hernshaw, WV; 36 Grandchildren 54 Great Grandchildren I1 Great Great Grandchildren.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Wednesday, January 26, 2000 at 12:00 Noon with Paul Hudson officiating. Burial will be held in Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston. Friends may call on Tuesday, January 25, 2000 from 6 to 8 PM.

She attended Mahone Chapel at Ashford and Weslyan Church at Nellis and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her: Grandson: David Painter of South Charleston, WV; 2 Great Grandsons: Bryan and Troy Painter of South Charleston, WV.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Tuesday, January 25, 2000 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Fairley McCormick officiating. Burial will be held in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Friends may call on Monday, January 24, 2000 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.

Lester (Michael) Webb, 50, of Hurricane, formerly of South Charleston, died Friday, January 21, 2000 at the home of his sister Jean Schronce after a long illness.

He was a graduate of West Virginia State College, a former math teacher at Dunbar Jr. High School and a Navy Veteran.

He was an army veteran of the Korean war and the son of the late Rev. Tony Sharp.

He is survived by his: wife, Esta Cooper Daugherty; two sons: John Doyle Daugherty of Old Orchard Beach, Maine and Larry Alan Daugherty of South Charleston, West Virginia; two daughters: Jo Ann Spencer of Ballard, West Virginia and Tracy Rabel of South Charleston, West Virginia; ten Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren.

Rev. William F. Fitzwater, 87, of Charleston died Thursday, January 6, 2000 at Arthur B. Hodges Center, Charleston after a long illness.

He was an evangelist and pastor for 65 years. He was the minister for the Morning Light program on WTIP radio, was on the board of directors for Voice of the Appalachian, was associated with late B.R. Lakin radio program, was on the board of directors for the A.C.E. school system, was a member of the First Baptist Church, Allegan, Michigan, was a member of the VFW and was a Navy veteran of WWII.

He is survived by his: Wife: Ruth Shaffer Fitzwater; 1 Daughter: Lynda Sanders of Chazleston, WV; 1 Grandson: Dakota; 1 Granddaughter: Autumn.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Saturday, January 8, 2000 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ronald Dobbs officiating. Burial will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Mineral Wells. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

He was formerly of Yawkey, retired from Union Carbide with 27 years as a supervisor, past co-owner of McMellon Furniture at Yawkey, the bass singer for McMellon

Family Quartet and other local quartets, a Navy veteran of W WII and a member of the Amy Baptist Church at Yawkey.

He is survived by his: Wife: Birdie Damron McMellon; 1 Son: Darrell McMellon of Yawkey, WV; 1 Brother: Rex G. McMellon of Yawkey, WV; 1 Grandchild: Dawna Allen; 2 Great Grandchildren: Michael and Joshua.
