Odie Kinsolving, 87 years and seven months old, of Charleston peacefully departed this earthly life at home on Saturday November 12, 2011 with his family by his side.  He courageously endured surgery, hospitalization and radiation treatment in his battle with cancer.  He loved to sing praises to the Lord and has entered his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The family would like to thank the pastors and congregations of Alum Creek Independent Missionary Baptist Church, First Baptist of St. Albans, and Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Greenville, South Carolina for their continued prayers and Christian love.

Odie was a faithful husband, daddy, granddaddy, great-granddaddy, uncle, brother, son, and friend. He was always busy with his hands, fixing things that needed to be repaired, and helping others. He lovingly provided and sacrificed for his family. The WVU Mountaineers were his favorite team–football and basketball. He loved the blue and gold! He always enjoyed filling the birdfeeder watching the birds and working in his garden.
