Jewel Kessinger, 87, of Alkol went home to be with the Lord on September 29, 2008 at the Hospice Hubbard House after a long illness. She was a member of the Sycamore Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Born on December 16, 1920, she was the daughter of Tucker and Grace Holley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard “Pete” Kessinger; infant son, Richard Keith; daughter, Grace; son-in-law, Ralph Clark; brothers: Milo and Henry Holley; sisters, Hazel Kessinger and Catherine Breedlove.
She is survived by her sons and their wives: J.R. and Barbara of Foster

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 11:00 am at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastors Dwight McClure and Jimmy Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home
