Richard Okey Williams, Sr., 59, of Alum Creek died Tuesday, July 6, 1999 at home after a long illness.<\/p>\n
He was retired from Kanawha County Schools with 30 years as a bus driver, was a Baptist minister in Kanawha and Lincoln county for the past 33 years, was a member of the American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO and was a member of the Briar Creek Baptist Church.<\/p>\n
He is survived by his: Wife: Shirley; 2 Daughters: Catherine Johnson of Chazleston, WV; Mary Williams of Charleston, WV; 2 Sons: Richard O. Williams, Jr. at home; Keith Allen Williams of St. Albans, WV; 4 Brothers: Kenneth Williams of South Charleston,WV; Benjamin Williams of Charleston, WV; David Williams of OH; Ronald Williams of Lincoln County, WV; 1 Sister: Shirley; 5 Grandchildren.<\/p>\n
Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Friday, July 9, 1999 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Tommy Roberts officiating. Burial will be held in Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston.
