{"id":12223,"date":"2020-08-13T19:00:18","date_gmt":"2020-08-13T19:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/curryfuneralhome.org\/?p=12223"},"modified":"2022-07-02T21:21:23","modified_gmt":"2022-07-02T21:21:23","slug":"brenda-kay-cobb-kidd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/curryfuneralhome.org\/?p=12223","title":{"rendered":"Brenda Kay Cobb Kidd"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/curryfuneralhome.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Brenda-Kidd.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Brenda\nKay (Cobb) Kidd, of Surfside Beach, SC, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ\non August 10, 2020.&nbsp; Brenda was born on\nJuly 22, in Charleston, West Virginia.&nbsp; Brenda\nis preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Moore, her stepmother, Valley Cobb,\nand step-brother Paul McCallister (Megan).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\n1984, she moved to Myrtle Beach where she lovingly raised her three children,\nJamon, Jimmy and Jessica. As a beloved member of Discover Church, she lived a\nfulfilling life of serving our Lord, while pursuing her passion in music and\nsinging. She had an infectious smile that would light up the room and the\nability to welcome everyone with open arms, as if she never met a stranger.\nEveryone that got the privilege to meet her, loved her. Some of Brenda\u2019s most\nenjoyable moments were spent with her grandchildren. She had a special bond\nwith each one and spoiled them all absolutely rotten. She was the most\nbeautiful soul inside and out. Brenda was the light in her families\u2019 lives and\nthe world just seems a little bit darker without her in it. She will be dearly\nmissed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brenda\nis survived by her beloved fianc\u00e9, Allen Adair; her sons, Jamon Banks; Jimmy\nKidd (Joy); and Austin Adair; daughter, Jessica Richardson (Scott); her father,\nRoss \u201cSam\u201d Cobb Jr.; brother, Sammy \u201cBo\u201d Cobb (Kim); sister, Misty Shumate; her\ngrandchildren, Jacob, Jaidyn, Dallas, Tyler, and Camryn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She\nis also survived by her step-brothers and step-sisters, Charles McCallister\n(Amy), Angel Chinn (Steve), Sandie Davidson (Jimmy), Sarah Breedlove (Chuck,\ndeceased), Robert McCallister (Rita), and Kerry McCallister (Darlene).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Services\nwere 2:00pm on Thursday August 13, 2020, at Burroughs Funeral Home, Murrells\nInlet, SC.&nbsp; Graveside service with Pastor\nRobert McCallister officiating will be 2:00pm Sunday, August 16, 2020, at\nOrchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey, West Virginia.&nbsp; Local arrangements are in the care of Curry\nFuneral Home, Alum Creek, WV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Discover Church, 700 HWY 17 South, Lorraine Plaza, Suite E, Surfside Beach, SC 29575.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek, WV has been caring for families since 1950. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Brenda Kay (Cobb) Kidd, of Surfside Beach, SC, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on August 10, 2020.&nbsp; Brenda was born on July 22, in Charleston, West Virginia.&nbsp; Brenda is preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Moore, her stepmother, Valley Cobb, and step-brother Paul McCallister (Megan).
