VIRGIL BLAKE, 83, OF SO. CHARLESTON, DIED WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11, 1997 AT HOME AFTER HE WAS PINNED UNDER A GRAVELY TILLER.
HE WAS A RETIRED MACHINIST FROM F.M.C. CORPORATION IN SO. CHARLESTON WITH 32 YEARS OF SERVICE. HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE RUTH COMMUNITY CHURCH WHERE HE SERVED AS A TRUSTEE AND HE WAS A LIFE LONG RESIDENT OF KANAWHA COUNTY.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS: 2 DAUGHTERS: NANCY SMITH OF SO. CHARLESTON, WV; VICTORIA ALLAGAS OF ST. ALBANS, WV; 2 SONS: GREGORY BLAKE OF SO. CHARLESTON, WV; STEPHEN BLAKE OF CHARLESTON, WV; 3 SISTERS: TOOTS BILLINGSLEA OF SO. CHARLESTON, WV; CAROLYN PAULEY”OF SO. CHARLESTON, WV; GERALDINE BISHOP OF CHARLESTON, WV;
4 GRANDCHILDREN; 6 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; 2 GREAT GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.
SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT RUTH COMMUNITY CHURCH, SO. CHARLESTON, ON FRIDAY, MARCH 14, 1997 AT 2:00 PM WITH PASTOR FRED CAMPBELL AND PASTOR GENE PAULEY OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN GRACELAND MEMORIAL PARK, SO. CHARLESTON. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON THURSDAY, MARCH 13, 1997 FROM 7 TO 9 PM AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK AND ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE SERVICE AT THE CHURCH.
