CLARENCE MEANS, 90, OF SO. CHARLESTON DIED SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 1997 AT THOMAS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, SO. CHARLESTON, AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS.
HE WAS A RETIRED STANDARD OIL OFFICE MANAGER WITH 44 YEARS OF SERVICE AND HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE ALUM CREEK INDEPENDENT MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS: 2 DAUGHTERS: DOHNNA ASHWORTH OF SO. CHARLESTON, WV; SYLVIA MCGEE OF COOKEVILLE, TN; 3 BROTHERS: HERSEL MEANS OF SO. CHARLESTON, WV; GOMER MEANS OF NAPLES, FL; BILL MEANS OF BRADINGTON, FL; 2 SISTERS: OLIVE HAMRICK OF CHARLESTON, WV; FERN GRANT OF BRADINGTON, FL; 6 GRANDCHILDREN; 14 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.
SERVICES HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 1997 AT 2:00 PM WITH PASTOR WALLACE YORK AND PASTOR FRANK CHAPMAN OFFICIATING. BURIAL HELD IN MEANS FAMILY CEMETERY, SO. CHARLESTON. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 1997 FROM 6 TO 8 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
