BARBERINE A.(ELKINS) WALKER, 77, OF SUMERCO DIED THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10, 1998 AT THE HOME OF HER DAUGHTER SHARON EDWARDS.
SHE WAS A 50-YEAR MEMBER OF COBBS CREEK MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH WHERE SHE SERVED AS A CHOIR MEMBER AND SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER. SHE WAS A FORMER EMPLOYEE OF NU-WAY LAUNDRY, CHARLESTON, WEST VIRGINIA AND SHE WAS A LIFELONG RESIDENT OF LINCOLN COUNTY.

SERVICES WILL BE HELD SUNDAY, DECEMBER 13, 1998 AT COBBS CREEK MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH AT 2:00 PM WITH PASTOR ARNOLD COOK AND PASTOR PHIL SUSTER OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN MIDKIFF CEMETERY, SUMERCO. FRIENDS MAY CALL SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12, 1998 FROM 6 TO 9 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND ALSO ONE HOUR BEFORE THE SERVICE AT THE CHURCH. CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK IS IN CHARGE OF THE ARRANGEMENTS.
