DAVID L. SNODGRASS, 62, OF SOUTH CHARLESTON DIED SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, 1998 AT NORTHEAST MEDICAL CENTER, CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA AFTER AN APPARENT HEART ATTACK.
HE WAS A RETIRED PIPEFITTER SUPERVISOR FROM UNION CARBIDE, ATTENDED THE FIRST CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE IN SOUTH CHARLESTON, WAS A FORMER CHIEF AT THE DAVIS CREEK FIRE DEPARTMENT AND CURRENTLY SERVED AS ASSISTANT CHIEF AND SERVED AS A COMMUNITY LEADER.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS: WIFE: PAT; 1 SON: GREGORY SNODGRASS OF SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV 1 DAUGHTER: CHERYL WILLIAMS OF CROSS LANES, LJV; MOTHER: ESTHER SNODGRASS OF SOUTH CHARLESTON, SJV; 1 BROTHER: REV. LESLIE SNODGRASS OF PRATTVILLE, AL; STEP-SON: JOHN SCOTT MILLER OF IL; STEP-DAUGHTER: KELLY MARTIN OF ANCHORAGE, AK; 8 GRANDCHILDREN.
SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT THE FIRST CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE IN SOUTH CHARLESTON ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20, 1998 AT 2:30 PM WITH PASTOR MERLIN PROVANCE AND PAUL SHANNON OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN GRACELAND MEMORIAL PARK, SOUTH CHARLESTON. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 19, 1998 FROM 7 TO 9 PM AT THE CHURCH. CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, IS IN CARE OF THE ARRANGEMENTS.
