KERMIT “BEECHER” GILLENWATER, 78, OF YAWKEY, DIED SATURDAY, AUGUST 1, 1998 AT HOME AFTER A LONG ILLNESS.
HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE GRIFFITHSVILLE CHURCH OF CHRIST, A MEMBER OF THE GRIFFITHSVILLE AF&AM LODGE #71, AND HE WAS RETIRED FROM ROYAL SUPPLY IN CHARLESTON.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS: WIFE: EXLEE SAUL GILLENWATER; 1 DAUGHTER: JUDY PORTER OF CLEARMONT, FL; 1 STEP-DAUGHTER: SHEREE HAMILTON OF NITRO, WV; 2 STEP-SONS: BILLY CONN SAUL OF GRIFFITHSVILLE, WV; KEVIN BUTCH SAUL OF SUMERCO, WV; 2 SISTERS: JUNE CONNER OF NASHVILLE, TN; OPAL ELKINS OF FL; 1 BROTHER: BOBBY GILLENWATER OF FL; 7 GRANDCHILDREN; 8 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.
SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON MONDAY, AUGUST 3, 1998 AT 11:00 AM WITH MINISTER MURREL MCKINNEY OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN ORCHARD HILLS MEMORY GARDENS, YAWKEY. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 2, 1998 FROM 6 TO 8 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
