HOLLIE E. GILLISPIE, 85, OF ALUM CREEK DIED SUNDAY, MAY 17, 1998 AT THOMAS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, SOUTH CHARLESTON, AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS.

HE WAS A RETIRED INSULATOR FROM UNION CARBIDE WITH 30 YEARS OF SERVICE, A LIFELONG RESIDENT OF KANAWHA COUNTY AND A WWII ARMY VETERAN.

HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS: WIFE: ADYLENE; 2 DAUGHTERS: VONDENA RENNER OF ALUM CREEK, WV; SALLY BATTISTA OF FT. LAUDERDALE, FL; 3 SISTERS: LILLIAN SMITH OF CHARLESTON, WV; VIRGINIA ASBURY OF RIPLEY, WV; NINA MCKENZIE OF PRINCETON, WV; 1 BROTHER: RONDAL GILLISPIE OF WEST MADISON, WV; 3 GRANDCHILDREN; 2 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.

SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 20, 1998 AT 11:00 AM WITH RUSSELL PETE ASHWORTH OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN GRACELAND MEMORIAL PARK, SOUTH CHARLESTON. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON WEDNESDAY ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE SERVICE AT THE FUNERAL HOME. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS THE FAMILY SUGGESTS DONATIONS BE MADE TO THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY, 2428 KANAWHA BLVD. E, CHARLESTON, WEST VIRGINIA 25311.
