FORREST S. MCCOY, 78, OF SOD DIED WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 1998 AT THOMAS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, SOUTH CHARLESTON, AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS.

HE WAS A RETIRED MILLWRIGHT FROM UNION CARBIDE, SOUTH CHARLESTON, WITH 32 YEARS OF SERVICE, A LIFE LONG RESIDENT OF LINCOLN COUNTY, A MEMBER OF THE VFW, A WWII ARMY VETERAN AND HE WAS A PURPLE HEART RECIPIENT.

HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS: WIFE: NINA; 2 DAUGHTERS: TERESA CALLAHAN OF SOD, WV; BETH LEONTOPOULOS OF SOD, WV; 1 STEP-SON: VICTOR HUGHES OF CHARLOTTE, NC; 3 BROTHERS: MORRIS MCCOY OF OHIO; NORRIS MCCOY OF ST. ALBANS, WV; MAXWELL MCCOY OF SOD, WV; 3 SISTERS: RACHEL WINGROVE OF WAVERLY, WV; MAYCEL YOUNG OF TEAYS VALLEY, WV; HAZEL DENT OF SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV; 8 GRANDCHILDREN.

SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 1998 AT 11:00 AM WITH PASTOR FRANK CHAPMAN AND PASTOR ARNOLD COOK OFFICIATING. BURIAL WITH MILITARY GRAVESIDE RITES GIVEN BY THE ALUM CREEK VFW POST X4768 WILL BE HELD AT HAYZLETT CEMETERY, GARRETTS BEND. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 1998 FROM 7 TO 9 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
