Mariah Allen Bowman, 79, of Alum Creek, died Friday, October 15, 1999 at CAMC Memorial Division after a short illness.
She was a retired nurse from Barboursville State Hospital, Barboursville and was a member of the Cobbs Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Sod.
She is survived by her: Husband: General Bowman; 3 Daughters: Shirley Thompson of Alum Creek, WV; Joan Lane of St. Albans, WV; Janet Swartz of Parkersburg, WV; 2 Sons: Bryant Bowman of Alum Creek, WV; Giles Bowman of Charleston, WV; 1 Brother: Bill Allen of Clearwater, FL; 13 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Granddaughter.
Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Sunday, October 17, 1999 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will be held in Bowman Family Cemetery, Alum Creek. Friends may call on Saturday, October 16, 1999 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
