Emery “Roy” Marmon, 63, of Alum Creek died Friday, October 8, 1999 at home after a long illness.
He was retired from CSX and was a life long resident of Lincoln County.
She is survived by his: Wife: Linda Marmon; 5 Sons: Roy Marmon, Jr. of Spring Hill, WV; Ed White of Midway, WV; Charles Marmon of Hurricane, WV; Chris Marmon of Hernshaw, WV; Charles Gillenwater of Alum Creek, WV; 4 Daughters: Debbie Rice of Rocky Mt., VA; Wende Jones of Scott Depot, WV; Barbarah McElhenny of Charleston, W V; Mylinda Zirkle of Charleston, WV; 1 Sister: Bonnie Brogam ofMcCorkle, WV;
17 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren.
Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Monday, October 11, 1999 at 1 I:00 AM with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will be held at Forks of Coal Cemetery Alum Creek. Friends may call on Sunday, October 10, 1999 from 3 to 5 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the Kanawha Hospice, 1143 Dunbar Avenue, Dunbar, West Virginia 25064.
