Glenn Lawson, 78, of Yawkey, Lincoln County died September 17, 1999 at Lincoln Continuous Care Hamlin, West Virginia after a long illness.

Glenn was born and resided in Yawkey until recent years. He was a devout Christian and a lifetime member of Porter Fork Baptist Church, Yawkey. Glenn previously worked for Gritt Newspaper as a delivery person. He enjoyed Christian Fellowship and was an avid reader of Christian Literature. Family and friends will remember Glenn for his cheerful demeanor, friendly disposition and love of family and friends.

He is survived by his: Mother: Vesta Lawson of South Charleston, WV; 2 Brothers: Carl Lawson of Charleston, WV; Cecil Lawson of Michigan; 1 Sister: Mildred Lavender of Chesapeake, WV; Several Nieces and Nephews

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Sunday, September 19, 1999 at 3:00 PM with Pastor David Bowman officiating. Burial will be held in the Griffith Family Cemetery, Yawkey, West Virginia. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
