Matthew Garret Wood, 8, of Concord, North Carolina died Tuesday, July 13, 1999 at the Alliance Community Hospital, Alliance, Ohio after short illness.
He was a student at R. Brown Elementary School, Concord, North Carolina and was a member of the Branchview Church of God, Concord, North Carolina.
He is survived by his: Parents: Bret and Cynthia Runyon Wood; 1 Brother: Ryan Wood at home; Maternal Grandparents: J. B. and Linda Runyon of Glen Daniel, W V; Paternal Grandparents: Gary and Kay Wood of Glen Fork, WV.
Graveside services will be held in the Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey on Sunday, July 18, 1999 at 2 PM with Rev. Kevin Collins and Rev. Robert Jordan officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to: Branchview Church ofGod, Playground Fund, PO Box 1077, Concord, NC 28026. Services were held at Branchview Church of God, on Saturday at 11 AM. Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, is in care of local arrangements.
