Rexford C. Bays, 87, of Hamlin died Monday, July 5, 1999 at Lincoln Continuous Care Center after a long illness.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Central Big Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his: 1 Son: Larry Bays of Hamlin, WV; 1 Brother: James Bays of Hamlin, WV; 6 Sisters: Nellie Young of Barboursville, WV; ImaBakerofHuntington, WV; Jewell Riffe of Albany, GA; Ruby Brewer of Lennon, MI; Gladys Wright of Flint, MI; Irene Chadwick of Arcadia, FL; 5 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild.
Services will be held at Open Door Bible Church, Route 34 near Hamlin on Wednesday, July 7, 1999 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ron Brewer officiating. Burial will be held in Harvey’s Creek Cemetery, Hamlin. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 6, 1999 from 6 to 8 PM at the church. Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek is in care of arrangements.
