GOMER MEANS, 81, OF LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY, FORMERLY OF ALUM CREEK, DIED MONDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 1999 AT BAPTIST HOSPITAL EAST, LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS.

HE WAS A RETIRED HEAVY EQUIPMENT RIGGER FROM FMC IN SOUTH CHARLESTON, A MEMBER OF THE HOPEWELL BAPTIST CHURCH, ALUM CREEK, AND AN ARMY VETERAN OF WWII.

HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS: WIFE: JUNE WHITE MEANS; 4 SONS: DAVID MEANS OF TAYLORSVILLE, KY; STEVEN MEANS OF ST. ALBANS, WV; LARRY MEANS OF SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY; PHILLIP MEANS OF CENTURY, FL; 2 BROTHERS: HUBBELL MEANS OF ALUM CREEK, WV; WILLIAM D. MEANS OF BRADENTON, FL; 2 SISTERS: OLIVE HAMRICK OF CHARLESTON, WV; FERN GRANT OF BRADENTON, FL; 8 GRANDCHILDREN; 5 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.

SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 1999 AT 11:00 AM WITH PASTOR WALLACE YORK OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN MEANS FAMILY CEMETERY, ALUM CREEK. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 1999 FROM 2 TO 4 AND FROM 6 TO 8 AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
