KERMIT V. NICHOLAS, 66, OF ALUM CREEK DIED MONDAY, JANUARY 11, 1999 AT THOMAS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL ER, SOUTH CHARLESTON AFTER A LONG ILLNESS.

HE WAS A RETIRED TRUCK DRIVER FOR KROGER DISTRIBUTION IN KANAWHA CITY WITH 25 YEARS, A MEMBER OF THE MASONIC LODGE #153 IN CHARLESTON AND TEAMSTERS UNION #175. HE WAS A BAPTIST AND AN ARMY VETERAN OF THE KOREAN WAR.

HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS: WIFE: PATRICIA; 2 DAUGHTERS: STAR VANSCYOC OF SISSONVILLE, WV; KARLA NUNN OF ALUM CREEK, WV; 1 SON: EDWARD V. NICHOLAS OF ALUM CREEK, WV; 1 BROTHER: LOWELL GENE NICHOLAS OF GILBERT, WV; 3 SISTERS: LYNDELL ESCUE OF SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV; JOCELINE KINDER OF BELLVIEW, FL; MAXINE RIGGS OF YAWKEY, WV; 5 GRANDCHILDREN; 2 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.

SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT THE CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 13, 1999 AT 2:00 PM WITH PASTOR FRANK CHAPMAN OFFICIATING. BURIAL WITH MASONIC GRAVESIDE RITES GIVEN BY THE CHARLESTON MASONIC LODGE #153 WILL BE HELD IN ORCHARD HILLS MEMORY GARDENS, YAWKEY. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 12, 1999 FROM 6 TO 8 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
