Paul Hart, 54 of Charleston, died Monday, December 18, 2000 at WVU Medical Center after a short illness.
He was a native of Guyton, Georgia and a resident of Charleston, West Virginia since 1975. He was a Ph.D. chemist and graduate of the University of Georgia. He was an Associate Laboratory Director for the National Energy Technology Laboratory, U.S. Department of Energy Office of Environmental Quality and Nuclear Security Morgantown, West Virginia, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a Union Carbide Corporate R & D chemist from 1974-1992. He was a member of the Executive Committee of the American Nuclear Society’s Decommissioning, Decontamination and Reutilization Division. He was also a past president of the Charleston Lions Club, Young Republican Party, and the Kanawha County Republican Executive Committee. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Guyton, Georgia. He was a board member of the American Conservative Union.
He is survived by his: Wife: Judy; Mother: Frances Hart of Guyton, GA; 1 Brother: Gene Hart of Guyton, GA; 1 Sister: Pat Nutting of Guyton, GA.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2000 at 10:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 120 Noel Conway Road, Guyton, GA with Pastor Ohsiek officiating. Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek in charge of arrangements.
