Jack L. Stowers, 61 of Griffithsville, died Thursday, October 12, 2000 near his home from injuries due to an ATV accident.
He was a retired truck driver for McJunkin Corporation, Nitro with 30 years service. He was a member of the Griffithsville Masonic Lodge 71 AF & AM ,was very active in community service including Duval High School athletic program.
He was survived by his: Wife: Dorothea; 1 Daughter: Angela McClure of Griffithsville, WV; 1 Son: Jackie Lee Stowers, Jr. of Yawkey, WV; 1 Sister: Wanda Vickers of South Charleston, WV; 3 Grandchildren: Michael McClure; Sarah Stowers; Aimee McClure.
Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Sunday, October 15, 2000 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dave Callison officiating. Burial will be held in Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey. Friends may call on Saturday, October 14, 2000 from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
