Hazel “Revell” Whitten

Hazel “Revell” Whitten, 94, of Yawkey died Wednesday, May 31, 2000 at Montgomery General Hospital after a long illness.

She was a retired Cook for Lincoln County Schools, a member of Amy Baptist Church, Yawkey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cesco, her son, Joe Whitten, and her granddaughter Wanda Swyers.

She is survived by: 2 Daughters: Mary Lipscomb of Kimberly, WV Verna Meadows of Louisville, KY Son: Donald Whitten of Mooresville, NC; Brother: Hayward Stephens of Olney, III; 8 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandson; Many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek on Sunday, June 4, 2000 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Mick Bowen and Pastor Oshel Bell officiating. Burial will be in Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey. Friends may call Saturday, June 3, 2000 from 7 to 9PM at the funeral home.
