Doris J. Sowards, 75 of Griffthsville died Thursday, February 3, 2000 at Cabell Huntington Hospital after a short illness.
She was a volunteer foster grandparent at Griffithsville Elementary, a member ofGriffithsville Church of Christ and a life long resident of Lincoln County.
She is survived by her: 2 Daughters: Shirley Selby of Griffithsville, WV; Nancy Glenn of Quenton, VA; 4 Sons: James Sowards of Big Chimney, WV; Eazl Sowards of Griffithsville, WV; Danny Sowards of Yawkey, WV; Ronnie Sowazds of Yawkey, WV; 3 Sisters: Genie Harless of St. Albans, W V; Kay Hudson of South Charleston, WV; Verta McCormick of Sumerco, WV; 6 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, February 6, 2000 at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Minister Murcel McKinney officiating. Burial will be in Midkiff Cemetery, Sumerco. Friends may call from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
