David “Bear” Weddington, 53 of Alkol, died Tuesday, December 18, 2001 at Thomas Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was a truck driver for Younger Brothers Trucking, Houston, Texas.
He is survived by: Wife: Norma 3 Daughters: Sarah Ryan of Alum Creek, WV Rebekah and Megan at home. 5 Sons: Joshua, Speedy, Davy, Logan & Jonathan at home. Father: Emory Weddington of Alkol, WV Mother: Nora Saul of Sod, WV Sister: Gail Stamper of Sod, WV Brother: Larry Weddington of Alum Creek, WV Grandson: Jesse Cole Ryan of Alum Creek, WV.
He was a loving companion, father, son and brother and was greatly loved and will be missed by all.
Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Friday, December 21, 2001 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will be held at Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey. Friends may call on Thursday, December 20, 2001 from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
