O. “Jack” Gillian, 75 of St. Albans, died Saturday, June 2, 2001 at CAMC General Division after a short illness.
He was retired from Carbide Institute Plant where he was a rigger. He was a member of Highlawn Baptist Church where he was also was a member of the choir. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betsy. He was a Navy veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his: 2 Sons: David Michael Gillian of Cross Lanes, WV’ Matthew Richmond Gillian of Hohenwald, TN; 4 Daughters: Lisa Gillian Simmons of Thailand; Julie Ann Gillian of St. Albans, WV; Amy Jo Jarrett of St. Albans, WV; Emily Gillian Boles of St. Albans, WV; 1 Sister: Ramona A. McMillion of Sandstone, WV; 2 Brothers: Earl E. “Brook” Gillian of Las Vegas, NV; Tom C. Gillian of Beckley, WV; 12 Grandchildren.
Services will be held at Highlawn Baptist Church, St. Albans, on Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dr. Joe Hyde officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM at Richmond Cemetery, Sandstone. Friends may call on Monday, June 4, 2001 at Highlawn Baptist Church from 7 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Highlawn Baptist Church Building Fund, 2304 Jefferson Avenue, St. Albans, West Virginia 2s177.
