Sandra Kay Cook

Sandra Kay Cook, 68, of Sumerco, WV went home Friday, June 21, 2019 at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston.

She worked at the VA Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida for 12 years.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Virginia Hancock Snead, two brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Donald Cook; son, Donald R. Cook of Yawkey; three grandchildren Chloe, Cleah, and Hunter Cook; sisters Margaret Boyd of Quincy, WV, and Norma Snead of Myrtle Beach, SC; and many nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Curry Funeral Home in Alum Creek.  Burial will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the funeral home.

Prayers for the family at this time and Lord please wrap your arms around them to give them strength in the days to come. I didn’t know her personally I, but her sister Norma is a very good friend of mine and she loves her sister that I believe is looking down from heaven and smiling. No more suffering for her . God Bless this family.
