Mary Kay Barker, 40 of So. Charleston, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday November 4, 2003 in CAMC Memorial Division after a sudden illness.
She was an employee of CASCI of Charleston, formerly employed by Shawnee Hills of Charleston and was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church at Alum Creek.
Mary Kay was preceded in death by her mother Jean Allison.
She is survived by her: Husband: Richard Allen “RICK” Barker; Daughter: Amanda Barker of So. Charleston; 3 Sons: Owen, Ryan and Peter Barker all of So. Charleston; Father: Kenneth Jergens of Alabama; Sister: Kathy Roberts of Georgia; 2 Brothers: David Jergens and James Allison of Georgia; Step Father: Lee Allison of Georgia; And a host of other loving family members and friends.
Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 7, 2003 at Curry Funeral Home Alum Creek, with Pastor Dwight McClure officiating. Burial will be in Orchard Hills Memory Gardens at Yawkey. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Thursday November 6, 2003 at the funeral home.
