Stella Francis Sanford, 95, of Elkview, formerly of South Charleston, died Monday, May 13, 2003 at the home of her niece, Arlene.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; daughter, Sandra Linville; and son, Lloyd Sanford.
Stella was a retired cook from the Kanawha County Board of Education and a member of the Davis Creek Church of the Nazarene, where she taught Sunday school for 25 years.
She is survived by her: Loving niece and caregiver: Arlene and her husband, H. D. Sams of Elkview; 6 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren;
Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Friday, May 16, 2003 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Merlin Provance officiating. Burial will be held in Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston. Friends may call on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Kanawha Hospice Care, 1143 Dunbar Avenue, Dunbar, West Virginia 25064.
