Mabel C. “Sissie” Thacker, 68 of Alum Creek, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 5, 2003 in Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston after a long illness.
She was a homemaker and a born again Christian. A member of Ely Community Church at McCorkle. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brookie Lynn Moore and son, Billy Joe Moore.
She is survived by her: Husband: Michael; 3 Daughters and spouses: Wilma and Wayne Miller of Alum Creek; Thelma and Bernard Harless of Hamlin; Karen and Gary Sadler of Alum Creek; 3 Sons and spouses: Jimmy Moore of Alum Creek; Rex and Beverly Moore of Alum Creek; John and Nina Moore of Alum Creek; 5 Sisters: Lillian “Tom” Clark of McCorkle; Della Clay and Portlee Clark of Alum Creek, Euna Mae King of Dunbar and Vicky Wright of Alum Creek; 3 Brothers: Harvey Angel of Ripley; James “Corbet” Angel of Alum Creek and Larry Angel of Mt. Olive; 22 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
Service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday Apri18, 2003 at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, with Rev. Thomas L. Miller and Pastor Dwight McClure officiating. Burial will be held in the Pine Grove Cemetery, McCorkle. Friend may call from 7 to 9 PM Monday Apri17, 2003 at the funeral home.
