C. R. “Bob” Peterson

C. R. “Bob” Peterson, 80 of Charleston, died Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at Putnam General Hospital, Hurricane after a long illness.

Bob was the owner and operator of Bob’s Fas-Chek for 32 years and was the owner and operator of the Yawkey Foodland. He served in the Navy/Air Corps during WWII and was a member of the Garfield Lodge #559 A.F. and A. M. in DuBois, Pennsylvania. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his: Wife: Jean; 3 Sons: Robert Peterson of Yawkey; Rick Peterson of Charleston; Randall Peterson, MD of Scott Depot; 1 Brother: Russell Peterson of Ghent; 7 Grandchildren.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Saturday, January 11, 2003 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Entombment with Masonic graveside rites conducted by the Griffithsville Masonic Lodge #71 will be held in Graceland Memorial Park Mausoleum, South Charleston. Friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
