Hazel Alma Alford

Hazel Alma Alford, 90, of Alum Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 7, 200s at the Candlelight Cottage Care Home, St. Albans, after a long illness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Romea Alford; brothers and sister, Ray Dent, Delbert Dent, Orville Dent, Harvey Dent, and Opal Smith.

Hazel was a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Darrell Alford of Greenville, South Carolina; twin daughters, Marilyn Pauley and Carolyn Edwards both of Tornado, brother, Denver Dent; nine grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

Services will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 10, 200s at Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek, with Pastor Robert “Butch” Leadman officiating. Entombment will be held in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
