August 13th, 2005 | Posted by curryfuneralhome in Obituaries

Michele Dawn Means, 35 of Charleston, made her journey to Heaven on Saturday, August 13, 2005 after an extended illness.

Born April 28, 1970, Michele was the beloved daughter of Clayton E. and Jacqueline F. Means; devoted sister and sister-in-law to Christopher and Rachel Means; and adored aunt to Tyler, Kody and Alex Means of Charleston. She is also survived by her grandparents, James and Jenetta Means; aunts and uncles, Evelyn Spears, Christine and Charles Crews, Pat Merlano, James and Barbara Means, Kim and Cindi Means, Bill and Tina Russell; a number of cousins and many, many friends.
She attended Carver Career Center and was a 1989 graduate of George Washington High School in South Hills. Michele attended Pine Top Church of God in Charleston. She enjoyed Crafts and spending time with her family.

Michele was a kind and giving person who touched our lives in such a special way. Her battle was long and her cross difficult to bear, but her faith and strength were unwavering. She gave hope and inspiration to others and showed us that with suffering can also come joy. For, although our hearts are filled with sadness at her passing, we find happiness in remembering her sweet smile, her childlike laughter and the pleasure she found in the simplest, most insignificant things. Michele loved deeply and was deeply loved. She will be greatly missed.

Graveside service and burial will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at Orchard Hills Memory Gardens at Yawkey with Rev. Evelyn Roach officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 2 PM Wednesday at the Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek.
