Billy H. Midkiff, 75 of Alum Creek passed away Sunday July 8, 2007 at home after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his son Mark, father Arnold and grandchildren Matthew and Cristy Miles. He was a life long resident of Alum Creek, a graduate of Duval High School Class of 1949 and was retired from Union Carbide Tech Center.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys; Daughter: Sandy (Skip) Miles of Griffithsville; Grandsons: Bart (Andrea) Midkiff of Sumerco; Brent (Amy) Miles of Griffithsville and 3 Great Grandchildren: Ryan and Jaiden Miles, and Madisyn Midkiff; Daughter-in-law; Kathy Midkiff of Alum Creek; Mother: Esther Midkiff of Alum Creek; 3 Sisters: Patsy (Robert) Lowery, Helen (Bill) Lewis all of Alum Creek, Mary Ann (Pete) Maurer of South Carolina; 2 Brothers: Jim (Ruth) Midkiff of Alum Creek, Jerry (Donna) Midkiff of Hamlin; and Several Nieces and Nephews;
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 11, at Curry Funeral Home 2097 Childress Road Alum Creek with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will be at Forks of Coal Cemetery Alum Creek. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
