Charlotte, Rex and Lawanna,

So sorry to hear about the passing of Kermit. He was such a godly man. Good memories of him and Charlotte throughout the years — living next to Grandma and Grandpa Oxley on Oakhurst, church and family reunions.

Lawanna and Tex, I have been where you are. Word of advice… remember the good times and take care of Charlotte.

Take care

Thanks Dwaine,
So good to hear from you . He was a good man and he didn’t deserve the pain and suffering he had to go through these long months. I know you’ve gone through this and I know how hard it’s going to be. We’re trying to take care of each other during this tough time. Love to all.

It was my great privilege to know him. I always looked forward to being greeted at church by Kermit and Charlotte and getting to talk with them. What a blessing to grow up around such a Godly couple. My heart is with each of you.

Thank for your fond memories of his generous spirit. He loved people and especially his church family. It was his honor to welcome people into the House of the Lord. Now there’s a great chorus welcoming him to his eternal reward.

Mr. Kermit was the kindest man I have ever met. He loved my Dad Red Hartman and my Dad loved him. For the longest tim Kermit always thought my Dad was waiting for him to open the gas station every morning. One morning was Dad was running late and when he arrived at the station he ask Kermit if Chris Grady had gone by. That is when Kermit found out the truth. I so enjoyed walking around Krogers with Kermit he always said that his wife sent him but he would always get his ice-cream first he said that way he would be sure to have his ice-cream the next time I go to krogers I will tell Kermit this one is for you. God has another Angel I hope Kermit and Red find each other! They don’t make men like that any more. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Thank you, Linda. He was a good, kind and loving man. We couldn’t have had a better role model as to how we should live and love. There’s a great celebration in heaven because he’s gone home.

Charlotte, Lawanna and Rex: I know your hearts are sad at your husband and father’s homegoing…but we will see him again. He was a dear friend of Merlin’s and I imagine they have already met once again…never to part again. My love and prayers to you.

Thank you for your kind words. He isn’t suffering anymore. His work was done here. He was a wonderful, kind, and hard working man. He loved his family, friends, and his church. But most of all he loved Jesus. What a reunion he is having.

Thank you dear friend. He had been so sick for so long. Just a couple of days ago he told us he wanted to see Jesus. He was tired of being sick. He was the best Husband, Dad, friend, role model there ever was. He loved you and your family for many years. Thank you for your kind words.
