Frances Torman Chafin

Frances Marvaine Torman Chafin, 88, of Griffithsville went home to the Lord on Wednesday, March 28, 2018.

She was a member of the Independent Missionary Baptist Church of Alum Creek.

Frances was preceded in death her husband, Willie; parents, Mann and Cora Alford; sons, David and Steven Torman; granddaughter, Kelley; brother, Virgil and sisters, Erma, Myrtle and Gladys.

She is survived by her daughter Catherine Triplett of Griffithsville and son, Gerry Torman of York, South Carolina; 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Curry Funeral Home in Alum Creek with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sansom Cemetery, Garretts Bend. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

So sorry for your loss, Cathy. Your mom was a sweet, sweet lady. I never saw her without a smile and a kind word. She was a good neighbor. Prayers for your family. Cheryl, Jerry, Holly and Chad Alford.

May. God be with Frances’s family during this sad time. Frances was a strong and courageous lady who loved Jesus and her family! Sorry we are out of town and can not attend the service but you all are in our thoughts and prayers. With love from Fred and Karen Robinson.
