Emma Louise Thornhill Snodgrass

Emma Louise Thornhill Snodgrass, 92, of South Charleston went home to be with the Lord Christmas Day, December 25, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice West in South Charleston, WV.

She was a former member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.

Louise was preceded in death by her husbands Lee Thornhill and Fred Snodgrass; parents, Murl and Ethel Gillispie; and daughter, Darleen Hickey.

She is survived by her children, Oren (Sandra) Thornhill and Joyce Luella (John) Moore; grandchildren, Christopher Thornhill, Stephen Lee Milton, William Lee Robinson and Elizabeth Bradshaw; great grandchildren, Reese and Ashton Thornhill; and loving nieces and nephews.

Service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, at Curry Funeral Home in Alum Creek with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Gillispie-Hudson Cemetery in Alum Creek.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

We would like to express a special thank you to Valley Center and Hospice for their their wonderful loving care of mom.

Oren and Sandy,
So very sorry for your loss. Louise was my last family contact for all my genealogy questions. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sorry I cannot be there to offer more than love and prayers.

With all the love in the world to the best Aunt and second Mother anyone has ever had! A lifetime of great memories goes with her to heaven. God bless and watch over her. The sisters are back together again. Love Blaine and Janine.
