Ruth M. Clark, 88, of Charleston went home to be with her Lord Friday, June 2, 2017 with the family by her side at Hubbard Hospice West in South Charleston.
She retired from the WV Department of Motor Vehicles after 33 years. Ruth was a member of the Davis Creek Church of the Nazarene and was chosen the Queen of Bellaire for 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Howard Miller and brothers, Herbert and Curtis Miller.
Ruth is survived by her daughters, Susan (Ken) Williams and Janet (Chuck) Atkins; 4 granddaughters Stephanie Williams, Kristen Atkins, Brooke Williams and Katelyn Gamble; and 3 great grandchildren Nancy, Kendyll and Carson Upper.
Service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at the Davis Creek Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Sandy Burdette officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to the Davis Creek Church of Nazarene, 102 Nazarene Dr., South Charleston, WV 25309.
“Grandmother Ruth” will always hold a special place in our hearts. She was a wonderful, beautiful, loving woman and she will be greatly missed by anyone that ever got the pleasure of crossing her path. We will always love and miss you.

For He that is mighty has done to me great things and HOLY is HIS name….. I know this lady… shared wonderful times helping clean after the flood, eating on the barge while floating down the Kanawha….. all while attending Davis Creek Nazarene Church and enjoying one another in the singes group….. thanks Ruth for your Christ like attitude and love displayed for your family…… troy, being made new in the attitude of my mind …… oh, yes, she made a daily trip to the SCCC…….. she always had that smile……
Rest in peace Aunt Ruth. I loved you my whole life. You were always a kind, loving Christian woman.

Janet, Susie, and family, Ruth was a dear, sweet lady and she always had a smile on gopher face. Praying for strength and peace. She has left many memories to treasure. I am recalling some our times shared together with fondness.
