Rosery “Sue” Kingrey, 72, of Alum Creek went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 16, 2016 after a short illness.
She was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church where she was a former pianist, and also attended Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. Sue was well known for her abilities as a seamstress, making crafts, gardening, especially cooking and baking.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kelly and Athalene Tackett and brother, Ted Tackett.
Sue is survived by her husband of 54 years, Mike; sons, Scott and Todd (Cher) Kingrey; grandchildren, Jamie and Elizabeth Kingrey; sister, Judy (Tommy) Quintrell; nieces, Teresa Breedlove, Pam Dunlap, Melinda Ray and Kristin Kingrey; nephews, Jimmy Marker and Little Teddy Tackett; brother-in-law and sister-in- law, Philip Dreama Kingrey; and numerous friends & extended family members.
Service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Curry Funeral Home in Alum Creek with Pastor Dwight McClure and Minister Teddy Tackett officiating. Burial will follow at Mays Cemetery, Yawkey. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

I’m so sorry for your loss! I just learned of Sue’s death yesterday through her grandson, Jamie. My heart felt prayers are with you all!
