Elmer “Brother” Tyler, Jr., 81, of Alum Creek went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 after a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Elmer & Hattie Tyler and step-mother Louise Kirk Tyler; brothers: Jackie Joe & Kelly; sisters: Mary Oscha and Norene Tyler.
He was owner operator of Tyler Cash Grocery.
He is survived by his brother: Hassel (Diana) Alum Creek; sisters: Jane Hitchcock, Hamlin, Evelyn (Bo) Dunlap McCorkle, Reba (George) Gibson, Alum Creek, Opal (Donald) Collins of Florida, Wilma (Richard) Tyler, Alum Creek and Margie Holstine, Alum Creek; special niece, Melissa Tyler and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be 1:00pm Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Curry Funeral Home Alum Creek with Pastor Dwight McClure officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery on Ballard Road, Alum Creek. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
I miss you so much Uncle Brother. All my life you’ve always been there for me. You taught me a lot through the years. I’ll never,ever forget you, you will ALWAYS be with me ,here in my
