We offer our sincerest condolences to Karen and Earl and all of Mrs. Edith ‘ s family. We enjoyed talking and visiting with her every time we visited my brother. She was a very special lady and will be truly missed. Loved all her knowledge about canning, gardening, and life in general. Heaven gained a wonderful angel.

My mother, Betty (Hudson) Lore, was very close with Edith. They shared the same birthday and Edith always called Mom on their special day and they would reminisce I took my Mom and we went to visit Edith and Karen two summers ago. My mother has Alzheimer’s but when we left and went to get in the car she asked me: “Did we just visit Edith Stover?” I believe she enjoyed every minute even though the memory was fleeting. Edith was an icon in the community and had a sharp mind till the end. She will be sorely missed but she has left a legacy that will never be forgotten by everyone who knew her. My heart felt condolences to her family.

I loved Ead. She was a sweet, simple, wise, and loving woman. She was a mom to all the kids who grew up on Middle Ridge, (now Means Ridge). She corrected you, treated scrapes and scratches and talked to you about right and wrong. The world lost a special lady but Heaven gained an angel. Prayers for Earl and Karen who were her life and to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Love to you all and rejoice in knowing she is HOME.

My heart is breaking. Edith was a huge part of my younger days. She was strong and tough but mostly passionate about everything she did. She made me feel like family as she did everyone she met. My thoughts and prayers to the Stover family. Heaven gained a true angel.

I am so sorry for your loss of this beautiful woman. She was part of so many celebrations of the Akers family, which included visiting our Mom, Elsie Akers in the nursing home. My memories of this sweet lady will always be cherished. I’m sure her and Elsie are together once again in Heaven. Thoughts and prayers.

What a beautiful picture of a woman that was beautiful inside and out! She was loved by every child that grew up on Middle Ridge as she loved to spoil us. I’ll never forget how she and DL spoiled me. I know the family’s hearts are broken and my heart goes out to each and every one of you but celebrating that she’s no longer suffering. Love, Bev
