Jerry W. Roberts, Sr., Alum Creek, born July 7, 1942, went home to be with the Lord October 4, 2015. He was a graduate of Washington District High School Class of 1961, and also a United States Army Veteran and was of the Baptist faith. He retired from Alcatel-Lucent Technologies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace and Cecil Roberts, brothers: Kennith and Richard; and sister Phyllis.
He is survived by his wife Diana S. Roberts of 49 years; children: Jerry Wayne, JR., Christina Arcuri, Cecil and his wife, Alida; brothers: Ralph, Sonny, Nunnie, Tommy, and Kermit; Grandchildren: Jr., Ericca, and Valiciti Arcuri, Diana, Sada, and Nicole Bruno; great-grandchildren: Riley Roberts, Sawyer Martin, and a very special friend Allen Roach
Services will be 3:00pm, Wednesday, October 7th at Curry Funeral Home Chapel, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek with Pastor Tommy Roberts and Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Forks of Coal Cemetery Alum Creek with military rites conducted by Alum Creek VFW Post 4768.
