Lois B. Holton Buckland, 86, of Tornado went to be with the Lord Friday, June 19, 2015 after a long illness.
She was a member of McCorkle Free Will Baptist Church and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Lois was preceded in death by her two husbands, Virgil Holton and Charles Buckland; parents, Hollis and Reba Dunlap; brothers, Billy, Dean and Raymond Dunlap; and a special friend, Bill Moore.
She is survived by daughters, Diana (Garrell) Bentley, Barbara Lekas and Cheryl Ann Highland all of St. Albans; brother, Wendell (Sharon) Dunlap; sisters, Faye Reveal, Dorla Sandidge, Carol (Jewell) Parsons and Nancy (Paul) Elswick; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 23rd, at Curry Funeral Home in Alum Creek with Pastor Dwight Priestley officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The family wishes to give a special Thank You to Hospice for all their help and kindness.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Lois. She & my family attended church together at McCorkle Freewill Baptist. She and Charlie were such sweet dedicated people. I can’t say that I know the feeling of losing a parent but I do know that my Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. And what a homecoming that will be one day soon!
