Susie Louise Roberts 78, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 5, 2014 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was a homemaker, a Baptist, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Roberts; children Jeannie Moore and Mark Roberts; granddaughter, Jessica O’Neal; grandson, Michael Jason Roberts; parents, Ed and Marie Bradshaw; two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by daughters, Susan Winnings and Harold, Sandra Jones and Paul, Wanda Johnson and Steve; son, Michael Roberts and Gale; grandchildren, Bucky, Tabatha, Heather, Sean, Brandon, David and Nicole; nine great grandchildren; special nephew, Alan Chandler and Diana; and her little dog, Cesar. Susie also left a host of friends who loved her very much and she will be sadly missed.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Monday, December 8, at Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek, with Pastor Terry Layton officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
To the family: wish I could have made it to the service(s), but could not. Sorry for your loss.
I will always remember your smiling face and silly sense of humor Sue.
The great times we all had at family get-together s (like the water balloon
battle) are still fresh in my mind. It was a privilege to be a part of
your family and claim your daughter as my wife. Death may have claimed
your body but we still have your spirit and memories for eternity. Rest
in Peace.
