Calvin McCallisterCalvin L. McCallister, 75, of Yawkey passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Montgomery General Hosptal ER. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda and parents, Chester and Flora McCallister. He is survived by his children, Connie McCallister (Fiancé Paul Masley), Jerry McCallister, Donna Webb and Dora (Clinton) Bragg; brothers, Lester Dale and Barry McCallister; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many friends. Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Sunday, August 11th at Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek with Pastor Frank Chapman and Minister Kenneth Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

I will miss my friend and first cousin. Enjoyed our many talks and laughs. We really got to know each other as adults over the last 13 years. He has “fought” for so long, now he is at peace and with his beloved Linda.
