January 8th, 2013 | Posted by curryfuneralhome in Obituaries

Phil Gordon Pauley, 72, of Charleston passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at CAMC – General Division, Charleston.  A private service was held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek.  Burial was in Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey.

Phil was a very unique man.  He was passionate, lovnig, and a good husband.  He fought a good fight; he believed in God and put his faith in God.  He had suffered for many years, with the last being the toughest for him and the people who cared for him.  Phil has gone home to be with God and is finally pain-free.

Phil was a class mate of mine back at Stonewall Jackson High School. He was one of the nicest of all. He was one of my favorite class Mates. He was a great guy. I will miss seeing h at our reunions.

I am really sorry to hear about grandpa. I wish some one would have called me a head of time. I was going to stop on Christmas Eve but, it was to late. By the time I found out it was to late to find a way there. Please call me when you can. 3045316911
