Sandra K. Huffman, 62, of Charleston, WV passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009 at home after a long & courageous battle with cancer. She was a member of the Ivydale Baptist Church. She retired from BB&T (formerly Kanawha Valley Bank and One Valley Bank) with 35 years of service. She was preceded in death by her father, Birt Hitchcock, and mother, Irene Burdette. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Huffman; sisters: Betty Jo Pauley (Jim) of South Charleston, Sue Hitchcock of Charleston, Kathy Arnold (Jim) of South Charleston, Bonnie Johnston (Steve) of Piney Flats, TN; a special niece, Jessie Martin (Glen); and a special great-nephew, Gavin Martin all of Scott Depot; and many other family members and friends.
Service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek, with Pastor Clarence Hutton officiating. Entombment will be in Graceland Memorial Park Mausoleum, South Charleston. Friends & family may gather from 6 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the dedicated Hospice Care staff who cared for Sandy.
