Earlier today, I was with Jehovah Rapha in His holy place calling out the names of Paul, Kim, and John.
He referred to you as ‘daugher and sons’. He assures He has begun your healing and He wants you to
trust and lean on Him. We will be with Jehovah Jireh during the service and commital times. You will be
provided for. Rest well, you are loved.

I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing this young man, Scott. But I have a son who is 19 and a daughter who is 15, and my worst fear is that I would ever have to go through the loss of one of them. I have recently lost 2 very dear brothers, dad, aunt & many friends. So I wanted to say to you that I am very sorry. Death is such an enemy and it is surely comforting to know that Jesus demonstrated that he has power over death and just as he gave Lazarus back to his sisters, he will also give our loved ones back to us. I would like to share with you some of the scriptures that have brought me much comfort. I hope you get to read them and that you are finding comfort in your gift of prayer.

Psalms 37:11, 29
Isaiah 25:8
John 5:28, 29
John 11:25
Acts 24:15
Revelation 21:4

I am so sorry for your loss. I know the pain of loosing a child, of watching a child not know how to cope with civilian life, PTSD, trying to find himself again. Holding on to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ has been the only way. I pray for grace to hold you, comfort you, and walk this walk with you.

There are not enough words to convey what my heart feels for you and your family. This tragedy hits very close to home as someone close in our family – – – a World War II veteran – – – chose to take his life as well. Those who have never been in their shoes or boots cannot always understand what they have faced…there should be no judgment but only understanding. As an American, I am thankful that your son served so valiantly…as a mother, my heart grieves for you. Our heartfelt prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. God keep you all.

To the family of Staff Sgt. Scott Newman, I can not express to you how sorry I am for your loss, you do not know me, but I want to let your know I feel your loss and am praying for your healing. I read your loved ones obituary in the Amarillo Globe News, I am from Amarillo but now live in Spring Texas, it will be four years next April that my son took his life, my son was an Army veteran, and served in Afganistan, so I really do understand the loss of someone so young and close. My thanks to your for the link to suicide prevention, I appriciate that during this time of loss you think of others , may God bless your family and hold you close during this time. Janie Wells

Dearest Cousin John, Kim and family,

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved son. Our family has lost a precious life and an irreplaceable loved one. We know that heaven has gained another courageous Marine to guard the streets of gold. A brave warrior who valiantly served his country and his Corps has left us. Let no man who has not walked in Scott’s shoes or fought the battles he waged or faced the demons he fought have any words but praise for this fine young man. Our faith in the Lord sustains us at these times. As believers, we know that Scott suffers no more. He rests in the arms of the Lord. He is reunited with his loving grandparents who met him and welcomed him home. As a former Fleet Marine Force Corpsman, I say to Scott’s spirit and memory, rest well my brother. You will never be forgotten:
