Dear Joan, Donnie & Lorie,
I am very saddened to see that Donnie has passed away. My memories of him are of a person who is kind and caring and devoted to his family. He certainly was a wonderful man and I know your lives will be changed forever on this earth without him by your side. I am praying for God to be with you as you accept this loss as well as for his sisters and brothers. I have always thought of the Stevens family through the years and regard them as a very wonderful family. Sincerely, Sheryl Thomas (Stevens)

Joan, Little Donnie & Lorie:
Please know that Henri, Cyrus, Lauren and I are sending all of our love and prayers your way as you walk through this difficult time. Uncle Donnie was the most incredible Uncle anyone could ever hope for! My best memories are of the back track, the drawers filled with candy (that you both let us have as much as I wanted), and of course the time I stole your Camel cigarettes and made the big mistake of smoking them right underneath the staircase as the smoke went upstairs to where you were all sitting! Wasn’t that a mess. I miss so many things about my sweet uncle and his sense of humor and big grin are just two of them. I love you all and pray that God finds a way to bring you a supernatural comfort during this time of unbearable grief. You all had the blessing of a remarkable husband and father and I’m honored to have known him.
Love,
Melissa*
