Danny Gene Skaggs II, 56 of Huntington, WV left this world on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Cabel Huntington Hospital after a short battle with an illness.

He is preceded in death by his Grandparents Robert Edward and Verna Wallace, Uncles Robert Otis (Joan) Wallace and Daniel Wallace, Steve Bob and Donna Deal, of Huntington, WV, and his loving sister Christina L. Skaggs.

Danny was a Private 2nd class in the United States Army. He was awarded the Army Service Ribbon and National Defense Service Metal.

He is survived by his mother Patricia Skaggs of Portsmouth Ohio, Long time partner, Beth Taylor of Huntington, WV, Children Annaliese V. Loftus of Alum Creek, Matilda Edmonds, Makenzy Edmonds, and David Edmonds all of Huntington, WV, Brother Chuck Skaggs, of Pennsylvania, Sister Loraine Skaggs of Virginia, Nephew David Shepherd, Neice Victoria Danielle Shepherd, Nephew Kyle Shepherd, all of Chillicothe, OH, Uncle James (Judy) Wallace of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Cousin Jason Wallace Otway, OH, as well as many other friends and family.

Danny loved working on computers, writing poetry, playing guitar and singing and telling jokes good or not good. He loved his children and family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Cabell Huntington Hospital for the care they provided during this time.

Danny will be missed by all that knew him and loved him. Cremation services will be provided by Curry Funeral Home and a celebration of life will take place at a later time.
